I bought a big fake plant to take up a corner space in my house. The styrofoam in the pot is so cheap?
that the cats want to play with it. I am afraid one of them will choke. I need something that I can put in the pot to keep the tree standing other than styrofoam. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you could cover the styrofoam with suran wrap..assuming the plant base sits in a large pot..
if you have a large pot you could buy mix and pour plaster of paris and over the styrofoam base..making it more solid..
i would try the first option to see if that helped

On top of the styrofoam, try adding some color rocks (you can get them at craft stores); it will give it some weight.
