martial art closest to Krav Maga?
Ok, I am planning on going into the Army Rangers and I know one of the main martial arts they teach there is Krav Maga but I live in the US so its not one of the most popular martial arts in our country yet. The only martial arts nearby are Taekwondo and Judo. Which one is the most similar to Krav Maga, and is it really similar at all? I've done some boxing but I don't really know anything about martial arts.

Remember that Krav Maga, a martial art thought of to be pretty, "western," is linked closely to Bruce Lee, who studied Jeet Kune do, which is pretty, "eastern". I take Goju Karate, and I say that they're very similar. To me, when it comes to real fights, Goju Karate is as legit as it gets (or maybe it's that my teacher is legit and isn't just teaching bs things that look cool but don't work).
Yeah I spar with my friends, and on the occasion, I get involved in a fight, and Goju Karate done right works 100% of the time. So long as you do it right though.
