I can guarantee that there is absolutely no anesthesia left in your body. A lot of people here are talking about things they know nothing about. Anything you got for anesthesia is gone within hours.
Surgery is a tremendous stress on your body. Even minor surgeries can really wipe you out. With your particular surgery, there is a chance that you lost a bit of blood (adenoids can bleed a lot). If you are anemic, that will also make you tired.
If you are taking pain medications that contain opiates, they can also make you very tired.
Your best option is to rest, eat a healthy diet, and maybe start some iron supplements to help your body make more red cells. You can call your surgeon and ask how much blood you lost, although with that surgery, a lot of it goes into the stomach so we don't know exactly.
Hope you feel better soon.

Exhaustion is one of the side effects of surgery, it is very common and should go away after awhile.
I belong to a hip replacement support group and just about everyone that comes back to post after surgery complain about the overwhelming exhaustion that occurs. I have had 4 hip surgeries the past year, my last one in November and I still have issues with exhaustion. They are not as frequent, but they still occur
Best thing you can do is get as much sleep as you can before going to work and try to keep moving. Moving will keep you from zonking out. I would probably load up on caffeine too.

It really depends on the type of medicine that was used in the IV (if any) and even enterally. Usually when medicine is introduced into the body that causes calmness or relaxation, there is something called a "half-life." A half-life is considered 1/2 of the allotted time that it takes for a drug to be excreted into the urine.
So for a short and not-so-technical answer, what you are experiencing is just the drug still in your body that produces sedative effects. Do not worry, it's nothing to worry about. Just give your body a little time to expel the drug and you'll be back to normal! :)
Hope all is well!

Go to a doc in the morning and inform them they may be able to do x-rays to look in regards to the Pneumonia.. The article is a lot of people go to the ER with headaches just to get pain meds there is approaches to inform your blood strain will probably be high given that of anguish and in the event that they deal with you rude do not be impolite back as a way to handiest damage you. That you would be able to file a report later so that you could inform the ER doc that something could be very very flawed and you want to be admitted to the clinic. They're going to be ready to do far more experiment and the out come is also you a whole lot higher. You are the only one who can aid you if that make any scenes to you. You know whats occurring on your physique no medical professional will will have to ship you residence with pneumonia with no IV antibiotics. Please rise up in your self. Tell them each factor do not leave something out. Have someone to go with you it is going to aid with getting the nurses and doctors get to you rapid and do extra for you.
