What is your favorite Grand Slam and why?
How would you rank them from your favorite to least favorite?
Mine is:
1. Wimbledon
2. Australian Open
3. French Open
4. US Open.
@Joey: Yeah I've always wanted to go to Australia as well :)
I love the Australian Open for its great atmosphere too, it's probably the "happiest" Grand Slam and just like MegaDan, I love waking up early to watch matches, it feels special especially because it's the first big event of the year. I also love the fact that we're in the middle of Winter, but in Australia of course the weather is hot and sunny.
And I love Wimbledon for its prestige and of course Federer's record there :) The atmosphere there is very different from the other Slams, classiest and for some reason I enjoy watching matches on grass, more than on hard court.
Both Wimbledon and AO are definitely my favorite! The French Open is great, but I don't like the atmosphere/French crowd that much, and on the men's side the tournament is very predictable, since we always have the same winner (not that I don't like Rafa).
I never liked the US Open that much, there's nothing s

Good question, my favourite of all the four Slam would have to be the Australian Open because the atmosphere and the fanship that is shown over the two weeks is utterly amazing and it's an amazing venue. My least favourite would be the US Open, I find it boring at lacklustre. The rain is always prominent there. Wimbledon in second, French in 3rd.

I generally like:
1. Australian Open, US Open (I like the atmosphere and I mostly play on hard courts)
2. Wimbledon
3. French Open.
But if I could choose which slam to win, I would want to win Wimbledon with Aussie Open as a close second.

Answering this question is like choosing between your children. Each tournament is special and different.
I love the way our sport has evolved into the proving ground for world-class athletes . . . they are more powerful, more artistic, they run faster and think better when selecting each shot!
So, with that in mind, I have to rank the Grand Slams, thusly:
1. - The French Open . . . the most grueling test in tennis there is . . . the worst place to have to play a 5-setter.
2. - Wimbledon . . . only the best athlete can hold The Champion's Trophy; a real test of power and agility
3.- The US Open . . . at the end of a long summer of grueling tennis . . . there's the ultimate hardcourt battle (the sounds, the smells, the crowds, and the elements) . . . it tests everything but mostly a player's resolve, resilience and endurance.
4. - The Australian Open . . . perhaps the fairest test of each players abilities . . . offensive and defensive.
Tough choice having to rank these great tournaments . . . as tough as the tournaments themselves.

1 - Australian Open - I like waking up early to watch the matches, and i find it the most enjoyable Slam to watch.
2 - Wimbledon - We have great Coverage of Wimbledon, and it has a Great tradition and for the 2 weeks everyone in England goes Tennis crazy, it's fun.
3 - US Open - I do enjoy the US Open, and it will always be remembered fondly by me as it was where Andy Murray won his first Slam, It has a great atmosphere as well.
4 - French Open - Not really a fan of clay, i'll still watch it but it's a firm 4th for me

My favorite is AO. It feels really special, like the above comment said, it has great atmosphere, great people, best camera angle, and I also like the baseliners and the serve and volleyers and that court suits every style of play, the atmosphere there at night is awesome.

My favorite is the U.S. Open. I love the atmosphere, it is the most exciting and has the best crowd out of the four majors. It is also where a lot of players play their last tournament before they retire such as Roddick and Agassi, that also brings in an excitement factor. I agree with you about the French i like it but everyone knows Nadal will win, he's won 8 of 9 that he has competed in.

I really like the Australian Open just because I have always wanted to go to Australia, and I really enjoy how happy everyone is, and the weather is always beautiful
