ideas for things to do when I get my first car?
ok, so already passed my test in december, hoping to get a car in just under a fortnights time :) so excited.
most of the time will be to and from work but I was wanting some other ideas of what I can do when I first get my car.
few things I want to do so far.
- maybe goto some carboot fairs/auctions etc...
- do some geocaching with my nephew (like a big worldwide treasure hunt thing based on gps coordinates)
just want some ideas of other things I can do.
insurance will be paid for in one lump sum when I get car (that's why I didn't get car as soon as I passed, gave me time to save)
And yeh I travel to work by bus at the moment, but it's 2 bus journeys to and from work each day and also limits my work flexibility due to bus times.
Car will allow me to extend flexibility and also work midnight shifts etc..
And not looking for things that will take up loads of time, just things to do in spare time,

I know You're excited and all, but just use it when You need to, don't be littering up the roads unless it's a fairly quick car and You are actually interested in the art of driving.

Beware the first week of ownership, that's the most dangerous.
As for things to do the world is your lobster, where ever you want to go; go.
But if you plan to go further afield consider breakdown/recovery insurance to get you home again

Why bother getting one if you don't have much use for it?
Presumably you already travel to work, so you obviously don't need a car for that.

Sorry - but you will have to work such long hours to pay your insurance, you won't have time for any leisure activities.
