The way the word "entitlement" is used today. It implies that some have the right to take from others.
To put it another way if you are entitled to get something without paying for it and it cost someone money, time or effort to supply it, then unless they freely give it to you, you or an agent of yours is steeling from the producer.
Socialism is based on stealing from Peter to pay Paul;
are you Peter, Paul or the thief?

Entitlement isn't a dirty word, it's just a misapplied word and some resent it. You see, entitlement is a word best applied to utility companies entitled to not having to spend their own money for maintenance and being allowed to charge users for all expenses for up keep. Entitlement is also applied to billions of dollars for research and exploration so that companies don't have to spend their own money doing it. It also works for pharmaceutical companies that can sell their products out side of America for low prices, but are entitled to raping the American consumer with high prices to support research and development of new cheap drugs they can over charge for! They don't want entitlement applied to these things because it supports the wealthy avoiding expenses in favor of profits! The wealthy feel they are entitled to special favor and treatment but they don't want people to see it as an entitlement to the wealthy, so they target the poor and the elderly who can't take care of themselves.

I was told, after answering a question... Corporate welfare, is not an entitlement... Its called incentive...
About like porn, if its low budget... Glamor, if there's big bucks involved... Same stuff, merely call it something different...

Not really sure, but it's clear that the reason for the need to re-brand is that the majority of people do not like who the GOP really are. So they are trying to pretend that they are something else, all for votes.
