You can take 4-5 classes per semester, 2 semesters per year. Science classes have labs, which take up a lot of time and assign a ton of work, so most schools will only let you take 4 classes if some/all have labs. You must earn a bachelors degree to go to med school. They won't accept anything less. No, you can't complete the 12 required premed classes in a year, or even two in most cases, and you need a major on top of that as well as general education classes.

Except for very rare 6 year programs, you must have a BA to apply for med school. You are an undergrad until you get your BA. You can take about 18 units a semester and more if you petition. The fastest you can reasonably get your BA is 3 years taking overloads and summer schools. You take the MCAT early in your senior year.

In case you are in med school, you should be in a position to figure out what your risks could be having your first baby at 35 medically. Maybe what you need to grasp is how it could be to juggle a profession in remedy with parenthood. That, of direction, relies on who your companion is and how a lot aid you get from that individual. I learned that parenthood is the hardest factor I ever did and essentially the most profitable. But having a little one changes your existence. In case you are questioning now whether or not or now not medication is worth pursuing, you will have to probably no longer finish. I've had doctors that left the career in view that their families have been having issues and so they desired to dedicate their time to fixing those problems. Part of the concern used to be having an absent mother, who was once working lengthy hours at her observe. You simply need to make a record of the entire pluses and minuses of both and see you probably have the vigour to commit to each. Good good fortune to your resolution making.
