What do people think of the beds with slats?i assume that they're as long lasting as a divan eg?
I have only ever had divan bases,i'd welcome other opinions about the slat bases.

Divan beds are much better than the wooden slots ,
find cheap beds on furniture classified website called furnads.co.uk or if you dont like your bed sell it on furnads.co.uk .

Slats have been around for years and they were very good reinforcement for keeping a mattress and springs in a frame. Springs were put on top of them and then a mattress. The boards that were used years ago were strong. The divan bases will last the same with the way the slats look today.

All my beds for years (and years) have been the divan type. Last year I bought a bed with slats with a new mattress - I think, if anything, it is more comfortable, (and it is easier to clean underneath!).
