Christians, 'in the beginning', if God was perfect, why did he create anything?

He got the idea of creating stuff, he got the idea from Satan. Which explains a lot.

Out of love. His love is infinite... there is no end to His love. His love is overflowing and all that He created is part of Him. It isn't separate, as your question suggests, but part of God.

How many times have we heard "Christ is in each person?" It's because He is. That doesn't mean that we are God, but we are part of God because we come from Him.

God is the Trinity. God the Father is every giving His love to the Son, and that exchange is the Holy Spirit. Marriage reflects the Trinity. In a perfect marriage, the husband would be every giving to the wife, and the wife every giving to the husband, and this exchange of love would be overflowing and grow each time it was given and received. The physical realization of this love would overflow and create new life (children).

Now, I am not in any way, shape, or form trying to say that God the Father is equivalent to a male and God the Son is the equivalent to a female. Please don't misconstrue my meaning. Love always brings forth new life, and it doesn't have to be marital love. A teacher helping a struggling student realize their potential is a way of bringing forth "life" in that child. A person helping a suffering homeless person and giving them dignity is bringing forth "life" in that other person. A nurse carrying for a dying person is bringing forth "life" in that person.

You are right, God did not NEED to create us at all. If He needed us, then His love for us would not be free and our love for Him could not be free, so it wouldn't be love at all!

Only when we can love without need is our love truly free. And when it becomes completely free, it will be overflowing with new life!

The Bible does not say God created the universe or angels /humans/ life forms because

He -NEEDS- them.

But to 1.) display His glory, and 2.) So that mankind and the angels can have a person relationship with Him , because He wants them to experience the joy of knowing Him and His love.

Because in the beginning Jehovah made Adam and Eve as perfect human beings and of free will. That means to use their own judgement but still obeying Jehovah, like we do today but we are not perfect.

God, jesus and Adam were perfect. they were formed, not conceived. God created us for worship. tell me what is imperfect about the garden of eden? it was perfect on our level and will be again. anything that can absorb and transmit love is worth creating.
