What makes you think God does care if you believe in him or not?
God's message to man - The Bible presents no argument for the existence of God. If God cared so much that people believe in Him, you would think he would present an argument or two. But no, no arguments are presented the Bible says in the first Verse,. God created the heavens and the earth - you either accept that or reject that and if you reject that then there is no reason to read any further.

Isn't the question, Why does one not believe, knowing the centrality of the question ?
Why the Question: Is there a God?
Stanley L. Jaki
ISBN 1-892548-22-4 • 71 pages • softcover • $5
Throughout this book the author insists that before one looks for a formal proof of the existence of God, one has to focus on the reasons why the question-Is there a God?-keeps challenging any honest mind and decent heart.

God cares because He doesn't want you in hell, and only He can rescue you, and the only way He can do that is if you TRUST Him to rescue you.
It's like if you fell down a deep hole and you broke your legs so you couldn't climb out, and then someone throws a rope down to you and tells you to tie the rope around your waist and he'll pull you up. If you don't believe in (trust) either the rope OR the man at the other end of the rope, you won't tie the rope around your waist.
God sent Jesus to rescue you from hell and the sins that would otherwise drag you there. But that requires you TRUSTING Him.
He cares if you believe in Him because He cares about YOU, and He cannot do anything if you reject and push Him away.
Now the ball is in YOUR court, and you have no more excuses. Reject His offer at your own risk, but blame no one but yourself. Don't blame God!
