How can those who think they go to Heaven not know they are going to hell like everyone else?
PSALM 89:48 (NRSV)
Who can live and never see death? Who can escape the power of sheol?
Will your visa to heaven get you out of sheol/hell ?
Looks like you can not escape your time in hell , to be eternally tormented until you get released .
Oh then it's not eternal hell ,is it ...Maybe time to rethink .

LIfe in heaven is not based on the choice of the one running - Romans 9:16.
As that scripture states, we cannot wish ourselves into heaven. The choice is totally up to Jehovah God.
All must become believers in the word of God first. And from those believers, there is a selection for those to be separated for heavenly life. We as imperfect humans, and not knowing the mind of Jehovah, do not know the criteria that he has set for those "qualifications." It is CLEAR to those selected for heavenly life what their future role is. There is no guessing whether that selection is made. The holy spirit makes this clear.
But basically ALL mankind do indeed die and at this time are subject to death. Death leads to burial, and that is indicated in the Bible to be in the "common grave of mankind."
This common grave, contains righteous and unrighteous. And Acts 24:15 says that there will be a resurrection of the righteous AND the unrighteous.
We realize that heaven is not open to the unrighteous. So this resurrection is to the earth, with the opportunity to learn more and live on earth forever. That is why Jesus said "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." The meek are those who WANT to learn more. They want to become fully approved of Jehovah.
Hell is not a place of torment. In fact, Revelation 20:14 says that hell will be destroyed in the lake of fire, which is Gehenna, and which the Bible calls the second death.
SO, hell and the second death are NOT THE SAME. And hell IS NOT Gehenna.
That scripture (Revelation 20:14) show that BOTH hell and death will be destroyed forever. THAT is the second death - to be destroyed forever.
Yes, there will be people who receive this PERMANENT death, even after being resurrected and given a full opportunity during the 1000 year rule of Christ Jesus to change their thinking and lifestyle. If they do not change to accepting Jehovah's standards which would allow them to live forever, then they will be given permanent death, or a second death. There will never again be a resurrection for these individuals.
The hope of the resurrection should give us hope, whether that resurrection will be to heaven or to earth in the near future, after the wicked are destroyed at Armageddon.
So those in hell will not remain there forever. DEATH cannot contain those that Jehovah chooses to live again - whether in heaven or on earth.

I think they do know we all are going to the grave (hell), but they also know they being (Christians) know they are not going to Hell (the Lake of Fire...Gehena). Yes, their VISA to Heaven (Jesus) will get them out of hell (the grave) and prevent them from going to Hell (Lake of Fire...second death).
Daddy Bob: You are so right, but probably need to tell the not so learned ones, there are several Hells (Sheol, Hades, Tartaro, Gehenna).
Angelmusic1914: Our choice to go to Heaven is not up to God, it's up to us. We say yes to God, we go and if we say no to God, we don't. He does not make us go or not go, we choose. Also, you say Hell is not a place of torment. Well, Hell (Sheol/Hades (the grave)) is not, but Hell (Gehenna is). The lost who are cast into Hell (Gehenna will be tormented...we don't know how long, but the Bible does say they will be tormented. You say Gehenna will be destroyed...correct, but the lost will be tormented until that finally happens, and then they will ceased to exist...but don't think the lost will not suffer at all. And lastly, you have the resurrection of the lost at the wrong time...it's after the 1,000 years, not before. The lost will be resurrected after the 1,000 year reign of Christ at the Great White Thrown Judgment and then cast into the Lake of Fire (Gehenna), and the when the New Heaven and New Earth are created, Hell will be completely destroyed. Read the Bible, it's all there. The people you are talking about in the 1,000 year reign are the ones who will still be living when Jesus comes back, who survive the tribulation and live during Jesus' reign on Earth. I realize this part of the Bible does not agree with the JWs, but I believe I'd take the Bible over man's law. Just thought you should know.

Actually because we are living in the Parousia of our Lord--when I die--and if I am of the Little Flock--I will not spend time in sheol--but will be changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eye.
If I am not worthy to be of the Little Flock but am still a Virgin to our Lord, foolish albeit, I will sleep but a short time in hell till it is time to resurrect the Great Multitude for the reception after the wedding of the Lamb and the Bride, and be a servant to the throne--like the Levites--but in heaven.
If I am unworthy of either station of life--I will be in hell, the second death for eternity, because there will be no resurrection.
I believe the Lord returned in 1874 and there began his Parousia--I am still awaiting the Epiphania which is the completion of the Bride--No one who is a Christian or even claims to be one will be alive on the earth during the Apokalupsis--because at the time of the Apokalupsis God is fighting for Israel, natural earthly Israel who will then recognize the Jesus was indeed the Messiah and then they are saved from Jacob's Trouble (Dan. 12:1; Isa. 4:3, Jer. 30, Zech 12, 14, Ezek. 38, 39) and then the Kingdom on the earth will begin.
I pray that I am worthy to escape those things---that is the Great Time of Trouble.
And since we are not yet in the Great Time of Trouble--that is one definite proof that the door to the high calling is still opened and that there is still a high calling going forth and anyone who truly loves Jehovah and is called has the wonderful opportunity to run for it and to be in heaven with Him and Jesus--but those that don't truly love Him, will not be called and will lose out on an opportunity of a life time because they think heaven is a joke.

Actually there are some who do go to heaven the moment they die since the heavenly resurrection began sometime ago and there are still some of that group who haven't finished their earthly course.

They have been lied to by their "ministers". It's like kidnappers using a hostage to get more money. Their "ministers" Keep telling lies. Of course any thinking person that can reason and understand the Bible should know that everyone who dies goes to hell.

If you follow the good book exactly and live by the teachings of Jesus, then you only have to spend a little time in purgatory (not the same thing as hell) while you wait for the end of days. Then you will get into heaven.

Here's the deal. If anyone goes to heaven, then I will be there. If no one goes, then OK, see y'all in Sheol.
