This was an old poem or saying in either London or Yorkshire and my grandpop used to say it jokingly, the missing words were a 2 syllable and a 3 syllable word and they were like nonesense names for something. I'd really like to remember it

I remember an old phrase,
"If the right one don't get you, the left one will."
referring to hands/fists in a fight.
Is there any chance the words were Scylla and Charybdis ?
