Liquid coming from my dog's rump?

Back round information:

She's a lab/pitbull mix.

She's 10 months old.

Fixed.

50lbs.

Been to the vet recently for a checkup --No problems apart from a minor skin problem.

Have had no incidence before this.

Just changed her food from Natural Choice to Purina One about two weeks ago. (no diarrhea or vomiting)

This evening my dog climbed onto my bed and fell asleep at my feet. An hour or so later, when I got up to go to the bathroom, she got off the bed as well. I noticed a quite large wet spot where she was laying, At first I thought she pee'd, but she was laying down. I sniffed it and it had no odor. I looked at her rump/private area and there didn't seem to have anything wrong, the bottom of her tail near her butt was wet, so I came to the conclusion that's where it came from. I took her outside and she went to the bathroom and she didn't seem to have any discomfort. Any clue what it could be? I will probably call her vet tomorrow to ask, but I'm curious right now. I've gotten her anal glands done before (it was part of a puppy package at her groomer), but only that once. Could she need it done again?? Thanks!

Update:

The liquid is clear.

Update 2:

She was also spayed at 4 - 5 months.

Update 3:

AND she had the skin problem before the food change, it was because she was allergic to chicken, which she is on Lamb now. I've checked the back of the food bag, I know it's not the best, but I can no longer pay $50 - $60 a bag when she goes through that in two months. She enjoys this food a lot more as well. She's also on skin vitamins as well. This was a problem that has been dealt with already.

Normally I'd suggest this was anal glands, but what comes out of there smells!!! Badly. If she was spayed young, unfortunately this could be the start of spay incontinence - but talk to your vet because if this is what's going on, there is treatment available

ps Don't let your groomer touch her anal glands - these are not meant to be empty. Passing a normal stool, these glands should empty with every BM and should never need to be touched. In fact if manually emptied (which may be necessary when they clog - by a vet!!) they will always refill. The more you mess around with them when not needed, the more things are likely to go wrong. And in any case, this should always be done by a vet so he can see what comes out, and treat if necessary.

Anal glands are scent glands which is why they should have something in them.

Dogs get skin problems and the other problem that you describe, by eating cheap food. By using a FISH based grain free food, you could resolve this.

Dogs eat less when their food is nutritious and veterinary visits are reduced.
