What's a good site to start a discussion thread?
Yahoo! Answers is great for asking questions, but I'd like to start a discussion thread where people can throw arguments back and forth, and rather than it being a question, there would be a set of statements up top that people must try to refute. Are there any websites that specialize in this?
There would have to be a "comment" section, but one where people can respond to other people, not just the one who posted the thread. I want to foster an interactive discussion between all parties, not just the 'asker' and the 'askee' :)
I know there are specialized forums out there, but I'm looking for a general one. Like the equivalent of Yahoo! Answers, for discussion topics.

Social networking is too restricted. I'm looking for something that has access to more people. A big forum, like the one on yahoo answers, where thousands of people can participate. Also, I think that for certain purposes, it's better for these discussion forums to remain anonymous. Facebook doesn't allow for that, and neither does google plus.
