Are you allowed to leave the country at age 17 yrs?
I have big problems at home and its really interfering with my daily life and I 've got relatives abroad who might be willing to have me.
But my parents will not like this so do I need their permission to leave the UK or not?
I am really worried about this so any answers will be most appreciated to help me work out what to do next. Thanks in advance .

Your issue isn't really leaving the Country. It is entering the Country you want to go to.
You don't mention the Country, but in general you can't just decide to move there. You need the appropriate visa. If you are still a minor, in order to get a visa your parents have to go through this process for you. Even if you were to just visit, when you attempted to enter the Country they would require a notarized letter from your parents approving of the trip.
The only way you would be able to do this without your parents knowing/approval is to go through the courts. But you would need some compelling reason why the courts should approve your request. We are talking something major such as actual violence or abuse. Something like "they won't let me go to the movies" isn't going to work.

When will you be 18? It might be faster to wait until then than to go through the process. Also, how will you legally stay in the UK once you get there? Student visa or what?

If you're sixteen or over you have your passport (presumably, at least you should) so can go wherever you want. Just be sure to get the appropriate visa if you need to.
