Period problem? help please?

Im wearing white shorts and its the end of my period but im spoting should i use a tampon or will i get tss

    No, don't use tampons.

    Tampons dry-out vaginal tissues causing splitting and ulceration, this occurs whenever you use tampons but will be more severe if you use rayon tampons such as Tampax, Playtex or Kotex, and more again if you use too high an absorbency or use tampons when flow is too light - this damage increases TSS risks significantly as it gives TSST-1 toxins a more direct route into the bloodstream.

    Use pads/liners, or better still consider switching from tampons to safer options like menstrual cups or softcups which are internal like tampons but pose no health risks so safe to wear for 12 hours, with any flow, and any time, without needing to alternate with pads either, plus many other benefits.
