Help with a physics problem?

Okay, so there is a guitar inside a shopping cart. The cart (with the guitar inside it) is pushed with a velocity of 4.48 m/s to the right. A student (with a mass of 54 kg) steps on the cart, slowing the cart to 4.00 m/s. What is the guitar's mass, assuming the cart's mass is negligible.

PLEASE ANSWER... OR AT LEAST TELL ME HOW I CAN SOLVE IT.

Update:

I was told the initial velocity was 4.48 and the final velocity is 4.00

But both velocities occur when the carts have different masses.
