What is a security anti-theft engine immobilizer?
Its says it has a security anti-theft engine immobilizer what is that? and by having it does my insurance payments can get lowered? (sorry first car)
I tried looking in my manual and nothing it only mentioned the key fob code and nothing about the engine.
If it helps I have a ford fiesta 2013 basic model.

If the car is broken into and has been locked by the key fob the engine immobilizer prevents the car from being started.
It is standard equipment on newer cars anymore, and no it does not help getting insurance or payments lowered.
