I am no fan of our current president, but I don't think he could have done anything to prevent this from happening. The Boston Marathon, while attended by thousands of people from all around the world, it is really a local event. It certainly appears that local officials did all they could do to make the area safe & secure prior to the race, and did a very good job after the fact in tracking down & capturing those responsible.

No President, regardless of the party, can keep the citizens totally safe. I believe that the current administration, as well as previous ones, have stopped many potential dangers that we the people are not aware of.

Last year someone mugged my friend, and once I accidentally dropped the TV on my foot. Why wasn't President Obama there to throw a basketball at the mugger's head or to catch my TV?!? He's supposed to keep us safe, darn it!

Was there no additional information you could have provided us? What are you inquiring about, exactly? The bombings? War casualties/fatalities? Crime/ massacres? We don't live in a bubble. How could he possibly stop human nature? We don't live in an idealist world. We live in a realist world.

Don't blame Obama, blame congress.

Congress is full of Republicans and it is their fault. Don't you know the rule of government? Congress MAKES the laws while Obama approves or vetoes them.
