As usual...
Your saw post-Soviet (or the so-called "Russian") Jews, who immigrated to the West.
They love sitting on two chairs: "here I'm "Russian", and there I'm Jewish"
You just have to choose "the right place at the right time" to get the needed advantages. Have no moral and respect for real Russians - and you'll get what you want.

Jews are (or at least were) a huge ethnic minority in Russia, so there are many Russian Jews who are Jewish and not Slavic. Just as there are ethnic Caucasian (eg Chechen) and Turkic groups in Russia. Ethnic Russians are Slavic.
