Is my friend too obsessed with me?
So i have a friend and I've known her for 5 years, but lately she has become really annoying. She gets jealous when I don't go out of my way to talk to her. She's upset because I don't consider her my only best friend. I just recently found out she writes down our texts messages. she always wants to be with me but when we talk, she just stares and laughs/smiles and she even stares at me when I'm not even near her (she awkwardly told me). I find it awkward, and I'm trying to break away from her because she seems to obsessed but I cant. What do you think? She thinks it all normal friendship...
Thank you for the all input. I realize that she likes me (A LOT) but I have very kindly told her multiple times before that I did not feel the same. But she's not grasping the idea. It has gone from a point of liking to something more. and personally, since she knows I don't feel the same, I feel like it's become an obsession. Y'all say it's love but when I've told her, why has she not backed down some?

Okay so you should definitely talk to her about this. If she has feeling for you and why she is so clingy. I think she may be in love with you and doesn't know how to handle herself. Really the best thing to do is just talk to her about it.

She gets jealous*
She wrote down your text messages with her*
She always wants to be with you*
She stares and laughs/smiles*
She AWKWARDLY told you***
She LIKES you dude, you are blind if you can't see those signs
Don't try to break away from her, it hurts. Tell her your feelings (If you only view her as your best friend, etc.)

She might like you as more then a friend. She may have developed feelings for you like a bi or lesbian girl would. Or she's just obessed! Hope I helped :) p.s talk to her, let her no what she's doing is bothering you and see how it goes from there.

Kindly tell her that you don't like her as much as she likes you and that you want her to stop with all of the obsessions.
