    What parabola problem?

    :::::

    x² - y² + 4 = 0

    x² - y² = -4

    divide equation by righthand side

    x²/(-4) - y²/(-4) = -4/(-4)

    -x²/4 + y²/4 = 1

    y²/2² - x²/2² = 1

    y²/2² - x²/2² = 1 is the equation of a vertical hyperbola with

    center (0, 0)

    vertices (0, 0±2) = (0, -2) and (0, 2)

    c² = 2² + 2²

    c = 2√2

    foci (0, 0±2√2) = (0, -2√2) and (0, 2√2)

    asymptotes: y = ±x

    ok, logA + logB = logC log(A*B) = logC So, AB = C log(3x-2) + log(x-a million) = log2x log[(3x-2)(x-a million)] = log2x (3x-2)(x-a million) = 2x 3x^2 - 5x + 2 = 2x 3x^2 - 7x + 2 = 0 (x - 2)(3x - a million) = 0 So x = 2 or x = a million/3
