If a guy tells you he, needed you, would never leave you, never distance himself from you.
Then face-to-face says, he only said that to make me happy. Does that mean he is denying that he really meant it or does he really mean, he only said that to make me happy at the time?

He only said it to you to make you happy. Maybe your too clingy. Men dont like girls that constantly ring/text them give him some space let him chill with his boys. Maybe then he will rethink the situation.
