I just put my dog to sleep and now my family is mad at me?! Now what?

**I'd like to address the fact that while this does seem like a troll, people like this DO exist. My time working in shelters and with a rescue is what make a part of me believe this could actually be real. There are people who have given their dogs to the SPCA (basically to be killed) because they peed on a rug twice. And the stories only get worse..

Your dog had a limp. So you put it to sleep? What the heck. I'm sorry, but your poor dog! If she was only 4, she wasn't suffering! You could've just gotten her a brace or gone to the vet to see what caused the limp! For heaven's sake, she might have just had a rock imbedded in her paw, your family has every right to be mad at you. Go buy your family a new dog, this was not your decision to make.

Honestly if this is true and you're not just trolling I wouldn't get another dog. It sounds like you didn't even consider having the vet evaluate the problem and have it properly treated. How about your car? Do you just toss it because you get a flat tire?

You're fukkkkn stupid. Why would you out a dog to sleep or limping??? Would you put your mom to sleep if she started limping??? The dog could have just injured itself temporarily. Those kind of things can heal. You don't deserve to lay a hand on an animal again. I'd hate you too if I was your family.

You should have at least tried to treat it, unless you could not afford treatment, or the vet said there was nothing that could be done, there was no reason to but the dog down..
