The queen doesn't own the money . she can't spend it. She can't sell her crown etc; You have a biased opinion. lots of peole come from all over the world to see the royals and the history it's that which brings in the money, if they weren't there than nothing.

Surely the same could be made the about the "Maharajah's " in India ,what did they do to attain their great wealth whilst the majority of Indian people led lives of abject poverty ? Many of the Indian potentates had/have greater wealth than the Queen could ever expect !

I dont know, although it is.
However you need to understand that the Royal family are a huge source of income for the Uk, they bring in lots of tourists who spend cash with Uk business.

There's no proof whatsoever that the tourists come because of the royals. They'd still come with or without them. France is a good example of this.
