How can I kill an hour or so?

I finally got a job, and I get an hour long lunch break. I don't really have anywhere to go, and it would take to long to drive home and back, and have any meaningful time at home. So I eat my lunch in the break room, and watch TV. But that is horribly boring somehow. Whats an easy way to kill an hour?

I have an iPad so killing my time between uni breaks is easy that way - also a laptop is handy I used one before I got my iPad however my iPad is great for games and things... Also I read alot of books so I do that too at times. During my old work lunch breaks I'd go shopping or go and have coffee in a cafe (with a good book).. But it all depends on what your into :-)

DVD player and a half hour TV rerun or a show that teaches a language, science, trading stocks (which can be done online) or your interest. It makes look smart and people will learn your interests and perhaps conversate.

Or you can sneak back to work for half-an-hour.

Join a gym. A quick 30 min run at lunch will do you wonders.

Head down a local coffee shop and people-watch. Might seem boring but it goes quicker than you think :)
