optical out as optical in?
ok so my pc has optical out my xbox has optical out and my tv box has optical out.....what things have optical in? i thought for sure the pc one was in...but it wasent and is there a way to make it optical in

No, an optical input uses a light sensor and an optical output uses a light emitter: they're two totally different devices which cannot be persuaded to do the opposite task.

Home theatre receivers normally have for surround sound. But as to your question what is it you wish to accomplish? There is no way to change the ouput to input. That would require a photonic media changer and a Digital to analogue converter.
