Questions on the Rapture?

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Questions:

1) What does it mean "voice of the archangel"?

2) If all are supposed to be raised at the same time why does it say the dead will be raised first?

3) Also if all at the same time, why does it say the ones who are alive will remain?

4) If the "together" rather a place more than a time?

5) If the dead are not raised at this time, where are they until this time?

6) What comfort are we to get from this fact?

Thanks in advance for answering ALL the questions.

    1. Means what it says. An archangel is going to have something to say.

    2. Means that there are people who have died, and are with Jesus before we who are alive. There are other Scriptures that speak of a resurrected body, and the brothers and sisters in Christ who have gone on before us, will be coming back with Jesus. Family reunion time!

    3. If something is going to happen "first" according to Scripture, that obviously does not mean that it happens all at the same time. God created time, He is not limited by it.

    4. Both

    5. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Even so, things will be changing all over when the rapture happens.

    6. I am starting to feel like I am doing your homework. You tell me. Are you going to be excited to leave behind a sinful world and enter into a perfect, eternal place with the Lord? To see your loved ones that have gone on before?

A angel will shout announcing His coming. Arent kings announced before thy enter?

All are not raise at the same time, the dead go first as the bible says. The bible is the authority.

Read it again it says the dead raise first then those who are alive and have remained on the earth (cause the dead went first) will be caught up (catch up) to the dead.

Together means we and the dead will be in one group in the sky.

Heaven, the bible is saying bodily raised, for now the dead are in heaven as spirits souls. We all get new bodies in the end even those of us who live

Paul was talking to these ppl about not being too sad or embittered by there fellow christians passing away (martyred in most cases). Paul was saying dont be to said one day we will all be together again, in Gods every presence, forever.

The voice of an Arch Angel...loud unmistakable

There is no "same time" mentioned here it is a progression the DEAD IN CHRIST will rise first, then those who are alive and "remain" (are faithful) will follow

There is also a regurgitation of the lost from then pits of hell for judgment day

The Comfort.....Jesus is coming for us
