This is a very clever, very funny and very underrated British comedy with standout performances. This was made before some of the stars made their name in much bigger films. But this little film is a total standout and well worth watching.

Africa United - 3 african children travel all across africa to attend the world cup but encounter trouble on the way love love love

Robot and Frank - in the near future, an old man is given a robot by his son to look after him and the robot becomes his friend but he likes to steal and break the law hilarious

Rabbit Proof Fence - again 3 children follow a fence in the austrailan outback in the hope of finding their parents while being hunted by the authorities

The Princess Bride - a woman is ordered to marry a prince that will kill her but she is in love with a stable boy who leaves to make his fortune for her but she is kidnapped and he must rescue her

Les Choristes - may be in french but wih english subtitles - a musician goes to teach at a school for naughty boys and sets up a choir love love love

Penelope - a girl must break the curse of her pig nose by falling in love

Sound Of My Voice: A journalist and his girlfriend get pulled in while they investigate a cult whose leader claims to be from the future.

I don't know if this is a hidden gem, but I love it and I don't know a single person that has even heard of it...

A Very Long Engagement - Have you seen Amelie? This film also stars Audrey Tautou - she is excellent in thsi film too

Empire Of The Sun - watch 12 year old Christian Bale in his best acting performance to date. Directed by Steven Spielberg, but never mentioned in any of his top films. But its one of my favorites.
