If his death precedes the Queen's, he'll be somewhat forgotten by the public after a couple of generations, perhaps remembered only as Diana's husband. From time to time, historians and novelists will publish books about him with titles like, "The King that Never Was."

I suspect that by now Prince C. has more or less become resigned to maybe not ever becoming King - and even if he does outlive his mum, right now I suspect he may well never become King - he'll step down in favour of his son. Charles has, I think, achieved a calm in his life, not the least provided by being able to be with Camilla, finally.

    What bad habits?

50 years from now? I think he'll take is due place in history, hopefully NOT because of Diana!!!

'When there won't be any monarchy'. Really?
