Pro, more storage. Computers don't run as well with a near full disk, I like getting a huge disk and keeping it less than 1/2 full. That's especially helpful when you download video, even from an iPhone the files can be much larger than you'd guess. I always bump up the memory when I buy a Mac, definitely worth the extra $100 or so.
An Air might be good if you're really good at keeping your computer clean and backing up and putting things on drives or on the cloud (not that I trust it, email is basically unsearchable for large chunks of dates on the iPhone since they moved everything to the cloud). Also, the 13" Air is about 1.5 lb lighter for the regular display 13". (And it's so pretty!)
Make sure you do educational pricing (Education Store link at Apple store online), it's typically about $100 off, and see if you can buy when they're offering a free iTouch (really easy rebate online) or whatever, usually around August, they've done it for several years, sometimes with printers you can purchase for small handling fees, like $10.
Good luck!
