Why is Aaron Rodgers so bitter about not being drafted earlier ?
I like Aaron Rodgers a lot so I am not looking to knock him for no reason, but I keep hearing the media making a big deal about him having to wait until the 25th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. I just trying to grasp exactly is the big deal ? It's not like he was drafted after the first round. What is wrong with #25 ? It's not as if a bunch of QBs were taken over him. The only who was, was the #1 overall pick in Alex Smith. I'm sure he laughs at that today, like we all do but that's after the fact. Nonetheless, if you look at that draft, much like this last one, teams needed other skill positions more so than QB. It's just kind of silly to me these guys complain about getting picked later than they had thought or would have liked, when they should just be appreciative of being given this opportunity in the first place.

So why did a team who was once thirteen-3 with Brett Favre go 6-10 the following 12 months with Aaron Rodgers? You cant in all probability know how "just right" he was once when he used to be on the bench when he did just good enough his first year commencing. And teams arent going to enable Aaron Rodgers to do this much longer. Each QB will get knocked off the highest pedestal for a yr or two, even Peyton and Brady have long gone by way of that and they're each higher than Rodgers

He was a little embarrassed not to be picked earlier, but really this has been blown out of proportion by the media as Abby has said. He was a 21 year old kid who was certain he would go earlier, the media had him going earlier, calling him the best QB in the draft...he was embarrassed.
Flash forward to a now older Rodgers, he gets it, he understands that once minicamp starts, that's when you an prove yourself. He tweeted to Geno to hang in there, good things come to those who wait. He's a great example to the guys in the draft that went later than they thought...Hindsight, you know.

The 1st round is not about splashy picks anymore as noticed by the chiefs to go with the surest starter in a left tackle. Geno Smith had to wait till the second round.. there are so many hall of famers who went undrafted and had good careers Rod Smith, Willie Brown.

I wouldn't say he was bitter. How could he with all he's done in the NFL?
He grew up in the Bay Area rooting for the Niners and went to nearby UC Berkeley, so his dream was getting drafted 1st overall by his favorite team.

The media makes a bigger deal of it than Aaron Rodgers himself. I think what got to him about it was he was suppose to be the first overall and he said McCarthy said they would pick him. Then Gruden who was at Tampa said they'd pick him at 5. They didn't. So he fell and was disappointed that he was picked much later than thought.

idk if he's bitter but he clearly was the best player who came out of the draft. If we had a redraft, he wouldn't fall out of the top 5 along with DeMarcus Ware, Cameron Wake, Brandon Browner and Jay Ratliff.

He wanted to prove people wrong and its ok becuz it shows the teams that they made a mistake.
