how do i use the other graphics card that my laptop has for the sims 3?
good news guys, :) i just found out that my laptop has to graphics cards... one is the intel hd graphics card 4000 and the other is a radeon (tm) 7670m. So i found out that the 7670m puts the 4000 on show for gaming... and my question is how can i make my sims 3 game use the 7670m? i am currently using the 4000 which sucks balls... but i want the game to run on the 7670m ... im not really that sure on what card the sims 3 is running on!
hp pavilion g6 2150tx
intel core i7
2.2ghz
8 gb ram
service pack 1
windows 7 64bit
DONT LET ME DOWN :)!
i play it plugged in without batteries!

just right click on game icon and u find option like run using graphic processor in that select hd7670.
now the game will surely use hd7670.
though the hd7670m is not a high end card but it could run the sims3 fairely well with your laptop resolution,
hd7670m is about 1.5times faster than hd4000, it depends on kind of playing though

It's already using it. It's slow because the 7670m is not for gaming. In fact, no laptop is for gaming.

I have hd400 too, but i have an NVIDIA card. Usually if you go to command center (right click the graphics card icon on your hidden icons list) you can set up what game uses what card.
And laptops can be for gaming too, specially Alienware.
