Can you supply a link to their website where the exact same ring is? How about a jewelers report?

Total weight doesn't say much, since the price per carat depends on the size. A 1-carat diamond is worth 10 times as much as a bunch of little diamonds that add up to 1 carat.

Usually when you sell something like that you can expect 30% to 70% of wholesale, depending on what it is. A high-quality one carat diamond, and you might get 70%. From what you've described so far, I'm guessing closer to 30%.

Jewelry stores usually charge 100% above wholesale, but Zales is an exception. They're closer to 150%. They also specialize in the kind of jewelry that's only worth 30% of wholesale when you try to sell it.

Next time, try shopping online at someplace like Blue Nile, WhiteFlash, Brian Gavin Diamonds, or James Allen. Those places are the opposite of Zales.

Oh, I just noticed you said pawn shop. They usually give you a lot less than 30% of wholesale. For 70%, try a website called "I Do...Now I Don't."

It's impossible you're going to discover a 1 CT t.W. Diamond ring for beneath $1,000. You need to as a minimum bump that minimal to $1,500 or more. My guy paid $1,900 for a 1 CT t.W. Three stone ring(with 3 smaller diamonds on the sides) and princess cut. The clarity is splendid and it can be a beautiful ring. From Rogers & Hollands. P.S. The rate of diamonds is on the upward thrust, so the earlier you can get it, the better. Or wait except they drop in fee. High-quality of good fortune!
