Nfl players greatness?
Should an NFL players greatness be based on the amount of Super Bowl he has or should be only used to determine a teams greatness? Should a players greatness be based on stats alone? Example: joe Montana vs Dan Marino. Montana has 4 Super Bowl rings Marino has 0 but Marion's stats are much better he just never had the team like Montana did.

Football is a team sport so because a player doesn't win championships is not completely his fault.. His greatness should be decided by his performance his entire career...

You have to look at all determining factors when measuring a player's greatness. Situation, Stats and yes, Super Bowl rings. Yes, Marino had better stats than Montana, but Montana put up great numbers on his own, had 4 rings, and additionally, beat Marino in head to head play at the Super Bowl, when it mattered most. There's just no comparison there.
But in the case of Brady and Peyton, I lean the other way, towards Peyton. Yes, Brady has more rings, however Peyton Manning took a 1-15 team and turned them into a decade of dominance. Then, when he was injured, the exact same team that was in the playoffs the year before, became a 2-14 team without him. Without Brady, the patriots went 11-5, showing the difference between the two players. Both are top 5 all-time talents, but Manning did more with less around him, and that to me is the difference between the two.
