Un-diagnosed Seizures!?
I'm 22 years old and for the last two years I've been suffering from seizures. I've been to hospital many times for it and have had many, many different tests but still have no answer. I've had an MRI and ECG a CATScan Many blood and piss tests and have been cleared of any sort of epilepsy.
Before this the only time I've ever been to hospital was when I was like 2years old. I've been pretty healthy growing up.
I'm currently taking Keppra for it. When I first had the seizures I was on 3 different pills and one of them was an anti deppressent and another to boost my iron levels.
I understand why I was given the Iron ones as I did not eat red meat at the time (I've changed my diet now and try to eat it, I'm not too big a fan of it tho) But I do not get why I was given the anitdepressent. Ever since I was taken off them pills and put just on Keppra have slowed down a bit but they still happen and I don't get signs and I can't tell when they're gonna happen so I don't get time to sit down and it usually ends pretty bad.
If anyone has had the same sort of symptoms, hit me up. I wanna know If i'm takin all these pills for no reason cos they are really bringin me down and have made me very emotional and sadly it's taking my sex drive away and I'm only 22 and I love sex so that's the last thing I want to happen!
My sex drive has only decreased since I've been on pills. Before that, I really enjoyed sex.
I am currently on 3 x 500mg Keppra tablets each day recommended by my neurologist. I took myself off the Valpro 500mg (anti-depressent) because that was just ******* with me too much. Making me very emotional. I used to be a real tough person. Only time I'd cry was if someone died but now, I cry over anything and half the time, I don't even know why I'm crying then after I cry I get pissed off that I cry cos I don't know why and can't control it.

I'm on Keppra and an anti-depressant, too, but most likely the reason you're on an anti-depressant is to help you cope with the unresolved seizures. I have a low sex drive, too, but depression can do that, and I had that long before I was on Keppra.
If you haven't already had one, you might also ask for a 24 hour EEG. That way if you have one during the day, they may be able to trace the cause. Also, see if the neurologist has you on a strong enough dosage of Keppra--I'm fairly well controlled on 2,000, which is what my neurologist typically considers a therapeutic level, but with your unexplained seizures you might need more. I'm also on a combination of medicines (Lamictal and Keppra), and Keppra does usually work better in combination, so you might consider that.
