I'd hang out at the library and read. For lunch I don't know because eating alone SERIOUSLY make me want to cry!

Go to the cafeteria and read a book for fun. That's what I do if I'm out for a meal by myself. Or read the newspaper or do your homework. You can still smile at people and say hello and be seen. One of these days you might want to invite someone to sit and chat.
