you cannot have a bow and arrows in the dorms - you would have to store them at the Security Forces arms room , same as firearms

you can keep a bow and arrows in base housing

Yes check with the MP's to see if you need a license. Otherwise when coming on to post you keep the arrows seperate from the bow. I am sure there is a season for bow hunting and if caught out of season I am sure you could get arrested or accidently hit a soldier running on the firebrakes.

Sure you can own with out registering it but walk out side your government quarters aiming at people or anything in general expect the MP's to aim back,

Knew many guys in while stationed in Hawaii that went hog hunting with a Bow that never had to inform the MP's of ownership. I always like having a fire arm. Sure the pitbulls and Bow was cool but I liked the security of a firearm.

It is not a regulation. That sort of thing is covered as a Policy letter from the base commander.

  • If you live in the barracks it will be in the Arms Room. If you live off base you can keep it at home. You do not just show up with stuff like that in your auto. If searched you are in DEEP $hit for trying to smuggle a weapon on base. Knifes with more than a 3 inch blade are not allowed either. We had to hide our Buck Knifes.

Depends on your base regs. Talk to your Security Forces Squadron to find out. They will know. Most likely it is fine unless you live in the dorms, in which case you will have to store it in their armory.

See the MP station and your Co commander about it.

If you're single, it will be stored in the Arms Room
