Yes.

The military will carry out orders against Americans, if they are given a reasonable sounding excuse.

After all, it was the US Army that ran the Japanese Internment camps in WW2, imprisoning over 100K people, including many natural born US Citizens, without any due process of law.

I believe most military men would side with the people of their country (citizens) and protect them with their lives from harm. Even if the government ordered the army to take over the country and confiscate guns and enslave the population, I don't believe that the army men would follow those orders. They'd protect the citizens from the government. I think a lot would still do whatever the government told them to, but most wouldn't. Most military personal are not a bunch of fascist tyrants like the officials you see today, Who want to ban guns and invade privacy.

Our military men and women took an oath. They are loyal Americans who would have the integrity to keep the oath they took.

Some will, some will defect. The generals would take Obama's side though. Te soldiers are the ones who would be more likely to defect and disobey, but generals are mindless followers of the government.
