Marine charged with kiddy porn?
How do I find out if this young man was actually in the brig for watching kiddy porn and why isn't
he now registered as a sex offender in my home town.
Google what, just his name or tell me how to do that please.
I agree that military has a reputation and I know from personal experience. My daughter inlisted and was going through basic, then held captive by several high ranking Army guys, used as their personal girl to rape several times a day. She tried twice to commit suicide because of that and was finally discharged, and two high ranking guys lost their stripes, commission and retirement. But this kid I need to know about was not in the US when he and his buddies were cought watching kiddy porn. All six were arrested and served time, I just don't understand why he isn't registered in my home town.
I used the good information given to me here and yes, JAG pressed charges, and that appeal was denied, the sentence was ordered and executed so he spent over a year in the brig then dishonorably discharged. To the rude people, you don't know what you are talking about and I turned you in for inappropriate content of your answers.

Does your state allow public access to court records?
Most places have websites that show where registered sex offenders are as well as criminals.
If he was on a Marine base not in your hometown, and does not live there now, he may not be required to register there unless he is living there.

Was he convicted? If not, and his trial or court-martial hasn't started he probably isn't going to be registered until he is convicted. If he was convicted you can always look up his name depending on who charged him. Just because he was in the Marines doesn't mean the Marines charged him, for all we know he may have been tried by the civilian law enforcement who has jurisdiction where he lives assuming it wasn't on base.
Last year a Soldier in New York was charged by civilian police because his wife did a sex show on Skype for him while he was in Afghanistan with a 15-year old girl. The military has the option to request jurisdiction but the civilians who arrested him have the right to refuse to give up jurisdiction and to try him themselves.
If you do find proof that he was convicted but he isn't a registered sex offender you could always go to the police with proof of the charges and see what they will do in terms of forcing him to register.
@ Lovely: I can end my career just for being accused of verbal sexual harassment, good luck trying to get away with rape.
