Normally People learn from mistakes. But India has not learnt even from the Blunder (Delhi Rape case). Why ?
If some rape has occurred in the Non-Congress ruled states, the Cong would have made hue and cry. New Delhi used to be one of the best and safest places in India. But now.......... The following SMS which I have recently received would tell how much we are concerned :
Teacher : Which is the capital of South Africa ?
Student : Cape Town
Teacher : Very good, Which is the capital of India ?
Student : Rape Town

Hi Vishal, This Rocket - Fire happens in Politcis, the game cricket and almost in each and every Indian activities.
Hi Elliot, As you said, rape is happening almost everywhere in the world. Where does it happen, that is the question. If it is a developed country, it is OK. However, when it comes to the developing countries like India, a step motherly treatment is given by the envying countries.
Hi Rama,
First of all I would like to tell you that I love our Mother India and there cannot be even an iota of doubt. Having got freedom / independence before a little over six decades, what action has been taken by the Govt ? Now only the efforts are made to take severe action against the rapes / rapists. The parents still inculcate good morals, ethics and traits. However, there is a lack of time / opportunity due to various reasons like Nuclear Family / Being away from home for higher studies / both the parents working / non-availability of the elderly people at home while the children are around at home. You yourself admit that there is a partiality between the National Capital and other parts. The Govt can ensure the equal coverage and the Press is not above all and even the President of India is equal before the law like that of a layman of India.
Until unless the laws are not severe, the rapes / molestations would be inevitable. It is the time we made very severe Laws to
Dear All, thanks for your time and feedback.

What do you mean by "India has not learnt". India is made up of you, me and all the citizens of the country. If there is a decline in moral standards, each one of us is responsible for it. Apparently, the parents do not imbibe good values in their children, who are exposed to everything in the cinema, vulgar advertisements, the internet etc. The Dec.16 incident got so much of publicity because it happened in Delhi, right under the nose of the Central Govt. Had it been in any other state, it would have been just another news in a corner of the interior page of newspapers and not even come into the electronic media. There is no use blaming the govt. for such depraving incidents. Unless the people deem it their duty to protect the women of the country, instead of molesting them, this will continue. An sms like what u got is not the way to react to a serious matter of public shame.
