Bleach all at once or gradually?

In the next month or so, i plan to go blonde. I have done it before one way, great results, i just want to know if I should try a different way. The first time, i bleached all at once, no problem, went from medium-dark brown to golden blonde. This time, should I bleach gradually, over the course of a few days with deep conditioning in between bleachings, or just all at once with deep conditioning after. Someone said that it would be more damage to do it gradually. Reasoning being because it would be bleaching more than once, and it didn't matter even if I used lower strengths, I just want to know if I should try gradual or not. I just need to know which is less damaging.

I've bleached my hair many times and i would say bleach it the first time, and if it comes out the color you want then great. Usuallythe only reason people gradually bleach their hair because it doesn't come out light enough the first time. If it doesn't come out the color you want the first time, wait a few days (while deep conditioning your hair, don't use shampoo as gross as that sounds you have to get your hair a little greasy) and then bleach it again, then wait a few days and repeat. Its never a good idea to bleach it more than once in a night or something.
