Engine thermostat/housing just fixed, but still steam from engine?
I had a leak in my coolant hose and a crack in the housing so was loosing a lot of coolant, noticed steam coming from the engine when driving on the motorway.
HOWEVER I had these things fixed yesterday, yet when driving home on the motorway, when I ran into some non moving traffic I noticed that there was steam coming from the engine still, and I thought I could smell a burning smell? Anyone have any clue?
I know that I should stop and find the problem that goes without saying. But I dont know anything about engines? I'm meant to drive 180 miles today to go to a wedding, I just want to know if it is safe. Could it just be leaked coolant on the engine from when it was fixed? Or could it be a serious problem? my engine overheat light hasnt come on, or the engine fan

If You Are Sure That Steams Comes Out Park Immediate The Side Of The Road Stop Engine Wait==
Till One Hour.After cool The Engine Open The Boot Trace The Problem Don't Fill The Water Immediately.
Diagnose Totally Find the Pin Point Perform Your Repairs If It Cool You Can fill The Coolant.
If You Feel Any Hot -Start The Engine As It Is Keep It Idle Fill The Coolant Till Neck Of the Radiator.
Fill Reservoir Above Cold Level But Belowest Hot Level Wait Till Normal Temperature/Road Test.

You have most probably got a big air lock in the coolant,. You need to have the air bled from the system. The air lock is preventing the coolant circulating correctly,
It can also be that the water pump is done for.
