RHH:How much do your parents no about hip hop/rap?

Not much. My mother knows next to nothing about it, and my stepfather knows who Biggie, Pac and 50 Cent are. But my stepbrothers listen to rap so he might have picked up some more from them.

there is no longer a distinction between Hip Hop and Hip-Hop, as they basically have a contact between them. What you want to appreciate is that "Hip Hop" and "Rap" are 2 diverse issues. Hip Hop is the final lifestyle, the circulation, the life form, that has Rap song in it. Rap is the call, this way of the song that human beings occupied with Hip Hop lifestyle make. that's an quite ordinary mistake.

Samurai MC (SMC), keep in mind that I am 50 and I love Eminem and I know all about the other rappers, too, I just don't think that anyone deserves the credit Eminem does other than Tupac. Don't be so sure that parents are out of touch with today's music. I am aware of almost all genres and the current bands and artists people like and don't like. I love music and I love having a teenager because we enjoy it together. Watch you're presumptions in the future.

Keeping in mind my parents are almost in their 60's, they know pretty much nothing about rap. My mom is a little bit more open-minded towards it, but for the most part they hate it. My uncle listens to a little, but I think he's one of those old guys who desperately tries to be hip. My parents are both the youngest in their families, so everyone in their generation of my family generally dislikes rap.
