What half stack amp should I get for a good price?
I am looking to play in a pop punk/post hardcore band. The guy was asking me if I had a half stack. I'm gonna tell him that I can get one if I need it once we start playing. Which one should I get?

You can get a Peavey VK100 half-stack for $900 new. Probably the best value for a cheap tube amp under a grand. Run an overdrive as a boost and you can get some good sound out of it.

So basically you're saying this guy doesn't know sh*t. Whether an amp is a combo or half stack has nothing to do with the quality of the tone or the volume. I'll just assume you guys are kids and move on...
