Help figuiring out whats going on after medical abortion?

Last friday i had a medical abortion done and the doctors said that we should expect cramping and heavy bleeding with clots well friday night super early saturday morning i started bleeding and im almost certain that i passed the fetus that saturday and since then i havent really had any cramps i would say normal bleeding and no clots well now thursday almost a full week later i am having very severe cramping almost to where it hurts to move and clots i would say the size of a dime or quarter are coming out is this normal and why is such a severe pain and why is the reaction so late ( i also took the 4 misoprostol pills vaginally)

    Call the clinic and tell them what you told us. I'm sure they gave you instructions and a number to call if there are any complications. You are probably due for a follow-up appointment at the clinic right about now anyway, so you should definitely make sure you go to that appointment and ask these questions. They'll need to make sure that nothing is wrong and then they can probably help you with the pain.

    This is probably your period, as your body has finally realized that it's no longer pregnant and your uterus is cleaning house, so to speak. If you start bleeding really heavily (like soaking through a pad in an hour), go to the ER.
