It's also interesting civil servants show up on this list, but not surprising lawyers do, though.
Are politicians not classified as civil servants?
The only profession I find odd on this list are chefs.

HuffPO is hardly a bastion of truth.
Like others have pointed out, politician clearly belongs on the list. I think bloggers should be up there too.

I assume you are speaking about news media, e.g., Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc.
The news media are businesses driven by a profit motive. As such, they will report only that which will appeal to their particular fans.
