Surgery is very close, so go back to your brace and get the best brace you can, even if it is a Milwaukee.

You need to get a surgery.
I do not know your age however if you are done with growing the curve has become rigid and there is no way it can be corrected with chiro or exercise. However exercise (scroth therapy or others) can help manage pain.
Surgery is recommended for curves bigger than 40 degrees however it is best to have surgery before the pain becomes chronic. With the spine problems (pinched nerves, etc.) caused by scoliosis becoming more and more pronounced even surgery may not alleviate all the problems.
I would see a spine specialist.

As far as I'm aware, scoliosis doesn't cause much pain in the vast majority of cases. And in any case, yes, an absence of pain is a good thing!

Would you be willing to consider an alternative to what you asked? This is going to be rather different from your expectations, but give it some consideration.
That's all I'm going to say, it's up to you from here. The book is available in most libraries.
