E/R all day today...IV for dehydration, antibiotic for whatever. blood tests indicates all blood counts are normal levels; however some white blood cells are "band/banded", which called for more blood tests... any ideas on possible diagnosis? or what the band/banded means?

A band is what an immature white blood cell is called. That means the body is working hard to get production going. They will be in different states of maturity. WBC's are what handles every infection. There are several kinds like this, each with a different name, depending on morphology. It means that your daughter is sick with an inflammatory response. Though the total numbers are OK, the KIND is not, indicates she has an inflammatory response.
