ATI GPU - 5670 1GB DDR5 OR 6670 1GB DDR3?

which one should I buy? do any of these two able to run high graphic games like crisis 3 / metro 2033 on medium to high settings? If no, recommend one ( ATI OR NVIDIA) in the similar price range(below 100$)

    hi kimi

the 5670 1GB DDR5 is significantly better than the 6670 1GB DDR3,granted the latter is newer, however its gddr3 memory results in slower memory clock speeds and memory bandwidth

however even the HD5670(gddr5) isn't capable of running crysis3 at medium to high detail .. that card would be limited to low detail on crysis3 and would struggle to even run metro 2033 which is well documented as one of the most demanding games on the pc

so what card would run crysis3 and metro 2033 at medium to high detail that's under $100... well you will be hard pressed to find a card that meets these requirements, however the "MSI N650-MD1GD5/OC GeForce GTX 650 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card "( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8... ) is $109 and this would run crysis3 and metro 2033 at medium to high detail

it has some good specifications including a 1071mhz core clock and 1gb of gddr5 memory running at 5000mhz ddr effective ... theres also 384 shader processors and a 128bit memory interface and these are powerful enough to handle most of the latest games at medium to high detail

however you also need to ensure your processor is good enough ... a core i3 or Athlon II x4 should be fine ... and even a Pentium G class dual core processor should be ok ... but older processors such as Pentium D,s and Athlon dual core (1st generation ) wouldn't be up to the job

in summary the GTX650 is your best bet and at $109 its only slightly over your budget...however if your prefer ATI then the "SAPPHIRE 100358L Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card "( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8... ) is also $109 and has performance around the same as the GTX650

in regards to power the GTX650 requires a 400w psu ( and 1 x 6pin connector ) and the HD7770 requires a 450w psu and also a 6pin connector .... you should also make sure your case is well cooled with at least 2 x 120mm fans

I hope this helps ..... any questions let me know

    good luck mate !

    6670 is better.

Many low end cards are available for 100$ and below. I think you'll need a card like GTX 550ti to run crysis 3 on your preferred range of graphic settings.

Your best bet is the HD7770 or 650Ti. I have seen the HD7770 with rebates for $80! Even right now I can get for $100 which isn't to bad.

Also just make sure you have a power supply that can power which ever card you chose.

Anything from Corsair is highly recommended.
